Preparing for Photos
PREPPING FOR PHOTOS
- HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Nothing sells better than light, bright and spacious real estate photography. In order to achieve that, it’s important that you take some time to do the following…
Stage by decluttering everything you can:
___ Countertops cleared (makes kitchens & baths spacious)
___ Tables & furniture cleared (leave a nice centerpiece or lamp)
___ Bookshelves cleared (leave a couple items so they don’t look bare)
___ Walls cleared (great decor is fine)
___ Toiletries & makeup in bathrooms & bedrooms cleared
___ Refrigerator exterior cleared
___ Only keep creature comforts like furniture, simple decor & basic necessities
___ Pare everything else down to the bare essentials
___ Showcase your home, not your nicknacks, family photos & collections
___ Box or neatly place everything in a storage area, basement or garage
On the day of photography:
___ Open all window curtains
___ Straighten & lift all blinds
___ Turn on all lights
___ Turn off all ceiling fans
___ Toys & baby items placed into their rooms
___ Empty sink
___ Yard picked up
___ Trash cans and hoses put away
___ Vehicles off driveway
___ Exterior doors and garage closed
